During each league’s annual meeting last week, leaders from the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues' respective board of directors thanked industry professionals for their enduring advocacy and support in an unprecedented year where the movement continued spotlighting its unique “member owned” model to local communities.

This year marked the California League’s 86th annual meeting and the Nevada League’s 52nd annual meeting.

2021 was highlighted by challenges and opportunities coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic — and as usual, credit unions across California and Nevada stood tall. Industry leaders worked to help each other and their members, with each state’s league shielding credit unions from harmful legislation and burdensome ideas and initiatives, as well as fighting for positive state and federal bills.

Leagues President and CEO Diana Dykstra applauded California and Nevada credit unions and league board members for their work in local communities during 2021. “You all stood up and continued to serve your members during another challenging year,” she said. “You continue doing great work, and I want to thank all of you for your commitment, trust, and support.”
