On Thursday, SchoolsFirst FCU graciously hosted a fundraiser for California Assemblymember Phillip Chen (R-Yorba Linda) at its new headquarters, an event marking the first of its type at the credit union's new office.

Chen, or "Phil" as he asks to be called, is vice chair of the Assembly Banking and Finance Committee and truly one of the strongest credit union allies within the state legislature.

The assemblymember brought along his chief of staff, Ali Navid. Together, they gave the group a detailed outline of the redistricting process and what the current draft “maps” would mean for not only his district, but districts of interest up and down the state.

A big "thank you" goes out to SchoolsFirst FCU for hosting the event, as well as Kinecta FCU, CU of Southern California, and California CU leaders for attending and contributing to Chen's re-election campaign. A "thank you" also goes out to Wescom CU for its monetary support of Chen.
