The 2021 California Government Relations Rally (GRR) is Next

Capitol building pillars

This year, California legislators are making up for the reduced number of bills during last year's legislative session due to the COVID-19 pandemic. State lawmakers have introduced nearly 2,400 bills, and there are numerous bills that will impact the credit union movement.

Credit union advocacy is critical in 2021! Leaders can make a huge impact by joining the California Credit Union League for this year's online virtual 2021 California Government Relations Rally (GRR). During the week of April 5, the League will connect with lawmakers, statewide elected officials, and regulators on important issues impacting credit unions and their members. Here's what to expect:

  • Important discussion topics, including credit unions’ response to the COVID-19 crisis and the League’s state-charter modernization bill.
  • Meeting with California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) Commissioner Manuel P. Alvarez.
  • Virtual legislative meetings.
  • Sharing the credit union difference.

Amid the ongoing pandemic, it’s more important than ever to show credit union strength and amplify our voice! More details are forthcoming.

Much like 2020, 2021 is setting up to be a challenging year so be ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice.

Registration will be opening soon for the 2021 GRR. The Leagues hopes to see you all there!
