CA League Appoints Harold Roundtree to Board of Directors

The California Credit Union League is pleased to announce the appointment of Harold Roundtree as the At Large Director to the board of directors as of May 14, 2024. As an At Large Director, Roundtree will serve as a vital link between the League and its member credit unions, providing strategic guidance and oversight to ensure continued success and growth. This new role is a testament to his commitment to excellence and dedication to advancing the credit union movement.

This position was previously held by Geri LaChance who stepped down in April, pending her retirement from SESLOC Credit Union in June.

Roundtree brings with him more than 30 years of senior executive management experience in the financial services industry, serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of UNCLE Credit Union since 2011. Prior to joining UNCLE Credit Union, he was the Senior Vice President of the Retail Banking Division of Technology Credit Union where he managed staff and projects enterprise wide, consisting of 10 financial centers, mortgage originations, real estate and consumer lending, private banking, business banking, business development, and contact centers during his tenure.

Roundtree also currently serves on the housing and mid-size credit union advisory committees of the California Credit Union League, as immediate past chairman of the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce board of directors, as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council and as a member of the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation’s Credit Union Advisory Committee.

Ahead of his credit union career, Roundtree held various leadership roles at World Savings as a Director within the Loan Services Division and First Interstate Bank as a Vice President. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University and a master’s degree from Golden Gate University.
